This beautiful fan-shaped pendant necklace has several key features.
The first is a striking smoky citrine gemstone as a drop, which displays a unique and mystical color and brilliance.

The second is the gold background of the black leaves, created using the traditional Japanese Maki-e lacquer technique of applying gold powder.
I did it because I wanted to create a contrast with the black leaves to let them stand out.

The third is the Keum Boo, gold gilding technique, used on the wavy curves beneath the fan shape.
They provide a soft touch to the piece.
Of course it's fabricated with care and passion by an artist (me).
