The design looks like a typical tribal design but actually it represents a Chinese character that means "Accomplishment" or "Success".
In Japanese it's called "Naru" or "Sei" and you can see the original character in the third photo.
The cab is a Hawk's Eye that looks almost black.
If you look carefully, you will see a little chatoyancy.
The sterling silver body is partly polished and partly textured.
