The center stone is a rutirated quartz lined with onyx so that yo can see the golden rutil clearly.
The design is inspired by a Japanese warrior's  (samurai) helmet.
You see some elements that come from it in this piece.
The body is made of oxidized sterling silver.
I washed it out so that it looks gray.
