The stone is so called "black rutilated quartz " but actually it's black tourmaline.
I lined it with fine gold foil so that yo can see gold tone through the transparent part of the stone.
it enhances the black fibers look and adds the contrast of gold and black.
I decorated the stone with an openwork of scrolls.
It gives the piece the taste of Art Nouveau.
There is a small dent on the stone.
