The amethyst is 20.0ct buff-top, the color is dark purple.
Buff-top means the upper side looks like cab but there are facettes on the bottom.
The red shell is made of copper on which I applied Japanese red heat patina called Hido.
The base body is made of oxidized sterling silver.
I added some 18K gold components.
The gold at the top fringe and the bail is fine gold leaf. I applied it with a kind of Urushi, natural lacquer.
The pearls are akoya.
The design comes from antique style, maybe Victorian? I'm not sure.
It's a handmade one of a kind piece.
