The pine tree motif comes from Japanese traditional design pattern. It reminds me of Bonsai.
I covered it with fine gold leaf and wiped it out a little bit to make it look aged. And I applied water base coating on it to protect the gold leaf.
The body is also comes from a Japanese fan.
